Welcome to Mössebergsbacken! The slopes of Mösseberg with views over Falköping are home to Skaraborg’s largest ski resort – Mössebergsbacken. The ski slopes have four ski runs and four lifts. There is also a nursery slope for beginners.
The mountain plateau has some great cross-country trails. Once it’s cold enough, the artificial snow track of up to 2.5 kilometres is prepared. And once winter has really taken hold and natural snow has fallen, more trails of varying lengths and levels of difficulty are opened. Why not come and spend some fun winter days in the glorious setting of Mösseberg!

Ski passes/lift passes
In order to purchase a lift pass, you need a keycard from Skidata. You purchase this when booking your lift pass or load to an existing card if you already have one. Children up to 5 years go for free, they just need a Keycard.
Please note that day passes are not valid for evening skiing! You therefore need to purchase a day pass and a 3-hour pass if you want to ride both daytime and evening skiing during 10-14 February.
No refunds when purchasing ski pass. Also applies to season ski pass.

Here is some useful information for anyone coming to spend one or more days at Mössebergsbacken. Mössebergsbacken is a ski resort owned and operated by Falköping Municipality. The resort is a member of SLAO (Svenska Skidanläggningars Organisation).
Facts
- Mössebergsbacken has 4 ski runs and 4 lifts. There is also a short practice slope with no lift.

- Parking is available next to the slopes and is free.
- Toilet facilities are adjacent to the car park.
- The resort has a ski hut (with microwave) where you can eat your packed lunch.
- Ski trails and a track with artificial snow for cross-country skiing Länk till annan webbplats. are sited up on the mountain plateau at Mösseberg. You can get there by car via Scheelegatan.
- There is a barbecue area beside Café Snöflingan.
- Ski school is offered on select weekends throughout the season. See the ski school tab.

- Helmets must be worn at all times on the slopes.

Mössebergsbacken offers the following slopes: Family slope (Familjebacken), Central slope (Mittlöpan), Slalom slope (Slalombacken) and Technical slope (Teknikbacken). There are also 4 lifts and a short practice slope/nursery slope with no lift. The resort also has a ski hut, café and ski hire shop.

Food, refreshments and ski huts
If you need to refuel during your action-packed day on the slopes, you can buy delicious refreshments at Café Snöflingan and take the opportunity to warm up for a while. You can enjoy your own packed lunch in the ski hut, which also offers a microwave for heating your food.
Café Snöflingan is open whenever the slopes are open and is run by the FAIK Slalom association.

Ski school
The ski school is aimed at beginners from 5 years old and up. For beginners who want to start skiing and learn the basics of gliding, turning, braking, and using the ski lift. The sessions will take place on the easier slopes available at the facility. There are no prerequisites to participate!
Scheduled dates in 2025:
Saturdays och Sundays and 10-16 February.
Good to know:
- Ages 5 -15, maximum 6 participants per group per session.
- Time: Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 -11:00 AM.
- Registration is done by emailing plalpin.kontakt@gmail.com at least 3 days before the desired weekend.
- Price: 595 SEK per weekend, payment is accepted in cash only, in Swedish kronor.
- Participants in the ski school do not require a lift pass during the sessions.
- Gathering will take place outside Café Snöflingan adjacent to the children's ski lift.
- For ages 16 and up, private lessons are available for booking. Price: 595 SEK/hour. (For 2 people at the same time, 795 SEK/session.)
The ski school is operated by the company Pl Alpin.
Accommodation
On the mountain plateau around 200 metres from the slopes is Mösseberg Camping. You can stay here all year round in great self-catering cottages or on the campsite in your own caravan or campervan. It boasts fantastic views over the town and the surrounding countryside. The campsite & holiday village offers two different sizes of cottage, sleeping 4 or 8. Some of the cottages have a sauna.

Public transport
Falköping has good rail connections with Gothenburg, Jönköping and Stockholm. To get to the slopes by bus from the travel centre, take service no. 2 to the Bestorp stop. From the bus stop, it’s a walk of around 400 metres to the slopes. Timetable: www.vasttrafik.se/en/ Länk till annan webbplats.

Choose between the artificial snow trail, which is up to 2,5 kilometres long, and one of the natural snow trails which are prepared when the weather permits. Falköping also boasts charming cafés and restaurants serving local produce, attractive shops, fun activities, picturesque hiking trails and fascinating historical sights.
At the heart of Plantisparken in Falköping you will find Falbygdens museum. Here you can discover the fascinating stories of Scandinavia’s oldest domestic dog, the young Raspberry Girl sacrificed in a bog and the tale of the gold collar from Ålleberg.
